In an increasingly digital world, it is becoming increasingly important for adults to understand the basics and complexities of computers. Employers expect employees to possess basic computer skills, so some community members are disadvantaged when seeking employment. Recognizing this need, Selover Public Library offers the Northstar Digital Literacy Assessment to help adults acquire the skills needed to be competitive in today’s job market. It trains the Northstar patrons with the knowledge they need to find jobs and succeed in their careers.
We hope the Northstar Digital Literacy Assessment will open up opportunities for our patrons to get the jobs they want and create a more economically prosperous community. Everyone should have access to the same information and educational resources, regardless of their financial means, and we are proud to be a part of making this possible.
