Toledo Opera is proud to announce audition opportunities for small roles and chorus positions in the upcoming 2023-24 season. Featuring Rossini’s, Gounod’s, and a Broadway musical from August 2023 to April 2024, auditions will be held at the Toledo Opera Offices on June 2 and 3. The Toledo Opera is looking for talented singers who can bring their unique style and flair to the stage. This is a chance to showcase your skills and be part of an unforgettable experience that will leave a lasting impression on audiences. Rehearsals for the chorus will begin on August 6 and run weekly on Sundays. Staging rehearsals will begin September 18 and typically run Monday through Friday in the evenings and on Saturdays and Sundays in the afternoons/evenings. In addition, four supporting roles are available: Stefano (mezzo-soprano, Romeo’s page, aged 20-30); Duke of Verona (bass, aged 40-60 years); Benvoglio (tenor, Romeo’s cousin, aged 20-30); and Paris(baritone, suitor of Juliet and rival of Romeo, aged 20-30), with music rehearsals beginning on November 12 and running weekly on Sundays, and staging rehearsals beginning on January 27 and typically running Monday through Friday in the evenings and on Saturdays and Sundays in the afternoons/evenings. Toledo Opera is excited to welcome talented performers to join its 2023-24 season!

Toledo Opera is proud to announce a unique opportunity for singers and performers to join their forty-member chorus (SATB) in a remarkable production on April 19 & 21, 2024 at the Valentine Theatre. This ambitious production is seeking talented individuals for supporting roles such as Emma Goldman, Edgar, Booker T. Washington, Henry Ford, JP Morgan, Grandfather, Tateh’s Daughter, Sarah’s Friend, and Willie Conklin. Music rehearsals will begin on February 25th and staging rehearsals will commence on April 10th. It is an incredible chance to demonstrate the abilities of singers and performers in one of Toledo’s most anticipated productions.
